SOCIAL TV: SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM

Social TV was one of the projects that I took to explore as the main UX Architect at Fetch TV. The initiative was supposed to figure out how social media could be integrated with TV viewing experiences. It proved to be elusive as other players in the market tried unsuccessfully. This was an opportunity to utilise the Human Centred Design (HCD) approach (Discovery, Definition, Ideate, Prototype, Test and Iterate) to ensure that my design-thinking process and solutions are truly centred on the prospective user groups.

Discovery

One set of interviews were conducted with seven individuals to identify their goals, frustrations, general TV viewing habits and social media use.

Primary Personas

Two primary personas were created based on the user research and subsequent data analysis.

Scenarios

To extract a little bit more information and context of use, scenarios were created for each of the personas.
